| Currently the firm consists of two partners, both of whom have Martindale-Hubbell's highest rating, one of whom is also a Certified Public Accountant, and two attorneys "Of Counsel". |  | | Jerry graduated from Highland Park High School in Dallas in 1945. He received a degree in Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt University in 1949. At Vanderbilt, he served as co-editor of the annual, President of the Student Council and the Engineering Senior Class, and a member of Omicron Delta Kappa. He is also a graduate of the Texas Christian University Institute of Ranch Management. Legal Education and Experience
|  | | Jerry attended law school at Southern Methodist University, where he was elected to the Southwestern Law Journal and Blue Key and served as Lord Chief Baron of Barristers and Vice President of the Bar Association. After graduation from SMU in 1952, Jerry received his license to practice law in Texas and entered the military service. As a First Lieutenant, Jerry served as the legal officer at Edwards Air Force Base, California. Jerry returned to Dallas in February of 1955 and joined the firm of Turner, Rodgers, Winn, Scurlock & Terry. He became a partner in 1962 and continued with the firm until he became a founding partner of Jordan, Dunlap, Prather & Harris, L.L.P. in 1983. He is licensed to practice before the Supreme Court of Texas, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Western Districts of Texas and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. During his career he has been active in the Dallas Bar Association, having served as Director, Secretary/Treasurer and Vice President. He conceived the idea for the Dallas Bar to acquire its present headquarters, the Belo Mansion, and was instrumental in obtaining the financing for its acquisition and rehabilitation. Jerry is a general practitioner with a wide variety of experience, encompassing individual, general, corporate and partnership matters, loans and financial matters, oil and gas, condemnation, wills and estates, family law, trial, computer law and real estate. Because of the diversity of his experience, Jerry frequently acts as a general counsel to small business firms and as a mediator in a wide variety of cases. Community Activities
|  | | Jerry is a member of Highland Park Presbyterian Church and has served on the deaconate. He has served as a coordinating chairman for the Dallas Committee for Foreign Visitors and as an officer of Park Cities Dad's Club, Toastmasters and Suicide Prevention of Dallas, Inc. and the Advisory Board of Camp Soroptimist.
